Zipline is disturbing to nearest neighbors

first_imgCategories: Letters to the Editor, Opinion Re Oct. 30 letter, “Where is oversight on Zombie Zipline?” by Jill Morley: I agree with Jill 100 percent. We live on 25 acres on Waters Road, and we have to close our windows because of the screaming and yelling and the whining of the zipline.I have reported this to the town supervisor every time Michael Cellini has added on, and I have also told the building inspector. No response. It doesn’t seem like anyone wants to be bothered.Mr. Cellini has insulted and lied to the town board, supervisor and the people, and yet it continues. If the course was in their backyard, it would be a different story. I have asked for a copy of the final plot plan from the supervisor that was supposed to be submitted. I’m still waiting. I doubt there is one. This plan was one of the stipulations in getting approval. Our neighbor, who also asked for a copy of the report, also hasn’t received it.One other concern is how can the state issue a recreation permit for an amusement park if it isn’t in an approved area. Our house is only 600 feet from the course. I can actually hear people calling each other by name. Pretty sad.Sandy DeGraffGlenvilleMore from The Daily Gazette:EDITORIAL: Find a way to get family members into nursing homesEDITORIAL: Urgent: Today is the last day to complete the censusFoss: Should main downtown branch of the Schenectady County Public Library reopen?EDITORIAL: Beware of voter intimidationEDITORIAL: Thruway tax unfair to working motoristslast_img
