Bangladeshi shot by BSF dies

first_imgA Bangladeshi who was shot allegedly by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Jahurpur Tek border in Sadar upazila on Wednesday died at a Rajshahi hospital Friday, reports UNB.The deceased was Fatik, 30, son of Abdul Latif of Sundarpur Bogdanga village in the upazila.Victim’s brother Shahidul Islam Fitu said BSF members from Pirojpur camp opened fire on Fatik around 11:00pm on Wednesday when along with others was retuning with cattle, leaving the youth injured.Fellow traders rescued the injured and later he was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Thursday where the youth died in the early hours of Friday, he added.Border Guard Bangladesh Battalion-53 deputy commander Ekhlasur Rahman said they held a flag meeting with BSF on Friday morning when they protested against the firing on the Bangladeshi cattle trader.However, BSF denied shooting Fatik, he said.last_img read more
