first_imgAnthony Thompson has committed to Donegal for the 2015 season.Donegal have been handed a massive boost following the news that wing half-back Anthony Thompson will commit for the 2015 campaign.There had been huge doubts regarding Thompson’s future after he was forced to emigrate in search of employment.Thompson is now living and working in London and it looked highly unlikely he would return to the Donegal set-up under Rory Gallagher. However, it has been announced that the Naomh Conaill will fly over and back for games and should be available for Donegal’s National League encounter with Derry in a fortnight.Thompson has been a mainstay of the side for the previous four seasons under previous manager Jim McGuinness and been an outstanding and pivotal figure for Donegal.He’s been very unlucky not to be awarded with an All-Star award.With Rory Kavanagh announcing his retirement yesterday, the news Thompson is staying on is even more significant now following the loss of the St Eunan’s man.
